    Hey everyone!

    Great motivational, Sherry!

Laura, hope you're feeling better today!? And I agree with what Sherry said on sometimes needing a little extra recovery time. Glad you didn't hurt yourself during the step-ups. They can be really tricky....I only have a chair to do them and the first time I was a little enthusiastic and almost fell over with the chair cause I overestimated its sturdiness.

Maureen, hope you've got as wonderful a day as we do so you can go for your run. And good job on doing Level 3 of the 30DS, that's tough!

Sherry, how's your little girl doing today? Great that you're breaking into a new 'decade'!
Lol, 'fembot'....Kelli's fitness is amazing though and you can see how she's improved between the old and new videos which is inspiring. On the other hand, during some of the tough workouts you can actually tell they're struggling as well (the one I did on Monday even forced Daniel to take a break towards the end ^^), which makes me fell SO MUCH better  It always made me mad when I did 30DS, for example, when Jillian would be all 'oh, this is tough for us too' and you can just see it's easy for them and then there's at least one point where she says something like 'if we can do it, so can you' and it always made me furious - though, granted, maybe that's the point

Today's workout was HIIT and pilates so not too tough overall. I did have some oatmeal before with a small cup of coffee (little sugar, lots of milk) and it did definitely help fuel-wise but it also felt a bit uncomfortable in the beginning, especially when jumping. Maybe I need to wait a little longer than I did today. I'm also getting back on track with my eating. I'll cut out the ice cream and then have one day every two to four weeks where I get to eat a whole package. I was buying small packages lately but somehow it's unsatisfying, it just makes me want to have MORE :ohwell: And the big ones have roughly 1,000 to 1,200 kcal, depending on flavour, which I simply cannot work into my calories. Chocolate and cookies I can eat in moderation usually (and I can tell when I have a day where I couldn't and then I don't even start) but ice cream is my downfall...

    Good Morning!

Beautiful day here today, and it was suppose to be mostly cloudy with drizzle. I'll take it! Got out for a nice 8K run this morning. I was hoping that my legs would feel like doing a little extra this morning and they did, so happy to get that in, and in the sunshine too! I plan to get out this afternoon to do some more weeding in the flower beds so I can soon get my mulch. It is however, still kinda cool out there.

Ines - glad that you got your HIIT and pilates in. Is it a fitness blender workout? Glad that the oatmeal and coffee wasn't too much. Glad that you are getting back on track with the eating...that is really the toughest part for me. I can get the exercise in, but the eating is my downfall. However, I have been putting in some good days lately so I am hoping to see some results on the scale. I can do great all week and then blow it on the weekend. Good luck to you with the ice cream!

Hope everyone is having a great day :)

I'm back!! For the most part anyway. I still have to take it easy and not push myself too hard yet, but I have the go-ahead from the doctor to start working out again!! YAY!! I have to take it easy at first so it's going to be a few more days before I get back into doing Ripped in 30, but at least i can do my elliptical and other easier things for now. I had an appointment with the chiropractor yesterday and I had two ribs out and a couple things out in my neck. He adjusted everything and I feel great! Yesterday evening I fertilized the lawn for my workout. Might not sound like much, but I used a push spreader and it holds about 30 pounds of fertilzer and we live on an acreage so it took me a little over an hour to do the whole lawn. It was a pretty good workout!

    Hi!

Ines, sounds like today went a little better as far as workout fuel. I used to only do 1/2 cup of coffee black and have the other half after. Jumping with all that sloshing can be a problem. Funny about Daniel taking a break. I have seen some outtakes where they cut to the mid-workout break and Kelli just falls back on the floor and it definitely made me feel a little better. She has definitely changed over time. Her rear is amazing, especially with such a tiny waist. I could never have such a tiny waist (not with my long-boned, wide-spread ribs and hips), unless with a corset! haha

Maureen, sounds like a perfect day. I have been aching over all our beautiful weather and no chance to get out and run. More than a couple of runners have probably been weirded out by my wistful stares as they run by. haha

Diana, so glad you're back in again. Just pace yourself first workout back. Sounds like pushing that spreader was a good amount of exercise. The body doesn't know the difference between the calories burned or muscles built doing chores vs. those done in expensive sneakers and sports bras--it all counts!

Well, today was the peak day of difficulty, I think. First words from lil girl today, as I dragged her out of bed to walk son to school: "Nooooo. Me not sleep a very long time now." She was right. She had not gotten enough sleep, but it was still the adjustment period. So, she was loopy and emotional and talkative (like a little drunk) all day, but I got her to bed about 3 hours early tonight and things should get better from here. Anyway, basically I carried her everywhere today. But, since she was so "out of it", I was able to sneak a walk in on her, by taking her to the far playground instead of the usual one. Only a couple miles extra, but carrying 40lbs. Calories still okay today & scale still teetering (probably if I weighed totally depleted--like after a run--it'd finally fall down to the next decade...can hardly wait! )

    Have a good one!

    Hi everybody.

I have often joked that I fall all the time so I'm pretty good at it. Just tuck & roll! When I first started working out with Jason he would ask, with concern, if I was okay. At some point he actually stopped asking because it happened so much. But my balance has gotten so much better that now we're both surprised when I nearly wipe out.

I'm still not feeling well today. I did come into work, although I pretty much wish I was home sleeping. There's a lot going on today at work where I felt like I needed to be here. I had planned on taking today as a rest day anyway so no workout planned anyway.
