brand new! quick question

Hi everyone
So very briefly.. I have been on a high fat low carb (keto) diet since October and the last 15-20lbs just are not budging. I've read so many great reviews of JUDDD and would really love to give it a go. I have done a few juice fasts before so am not too worried about the DD's.
my question is, on the website it states that the induction "the two-week induction phase is the most restrictive part of the Johnson UpDayDownDay Diet"
But isn't the calorie allowance for DD's on induction 500? According to the calculator mine is 461, so that is more restrictive than induction but the website states that induction is the most restrictive phase. Have I calculated something wrong?
Also according to the calculator I can eat 2306 on UD's..that seems like a LOTTT! My stats are Weight - 66kg, height is 5ft5inches, I exercise 3-5x per week, female 22. I've double checked and 2306 calories still comes up. Do I have to actually eat that much? I've spent the last 2-3 years not really eating more than 1800 a day tops so I am not even sure what 2306 looks like!
Last question and I'm sure this one is super obvious but the first day after induction, is that an UD or a DD? So the monday?
Thanks in advance everyone

sorry just to add to the last point about what the first monday should be, is this based on a weekly average of calories?
Because for example if my week was DUDUDUD my calories for the week would be 8762
If my week was UDUDUDU my calories would be 10,607 which is quite the difference! Should you aim for 4x DD 3x UD's a week?0 -
Hi and welcome!
Quite a few use the calculator only to give them their UD number. As for DD's, most keep it to 500 or less. Regardless, you do not want to eat lower than an average of 1200 a day. (8400 calories) You want the calorie range to be extreme so your metabolic rate burns hot even on DD's. Keeps the body guessing so to speak.
As far as rotation, you should start with a UD, (a good UD helps you get thru the next day's DD) then continuously alternate between a UD & DD. I know a few that throw in a MD (mid day) to keep the basic rotation the same, hence UD, DD, UD, DD, UD, DD, MD, repeat. I would suggest staying with UD, DD rotation for the first two weeks.

thanks so much for responding.
Another query I had: on a facebook group someone said that JUDDD is so great because it's flexible and you can fit it around your social life. But just say for example it's an UD and on that day you are invited to a dinner party 3 days later, which should be a DD, how would you fit in being able to splurge a little at the dinner party? When people say it is flexible, do they mean you can just make this an UD and then follow it by 2 DD's, or have 2 DD's in a row before? Hope this makes sense lol I am probably over thinking things0 -
Never too many questions!
First let me say NEVER do two DD's in a row. If you have prior notice, you can switch things up by changing one of your days to a mid day. This way you have "banked" a little before the party UD. Make sense? Something like this UD, DD, MD, UD or UD, MD, DD, UD. Yes, throwing in too many MD will definite hinder your results but its better than UD UD UD UD etc.. :huh:0
