Hi, My name is Brittany, I'm 22 (193.2 lbs). I want to start running regularly. I need to know where to start. I know I can't just hop up and start running like a pro....
Starting up? Speed, how long, ? What goals should I start with? Please help me start!

Would use one of the C25k programs out there. Make sure you have good shoes, when you start work on being a belly breather and not a chest breather. Good info in the link

Also if you are having a hard time finishing the intervals slow down. When you first start go slow than you think. It is more important to keep running than running fast. Good luck you can do it!!!0 -
Welcome! A lot of questions have been answered in the sticky topics up on top; everything from clothing and other paraphernalia to water to apps and so on. If you have specific questions, it might be easier if you were to reply to one of those threads and we'll help you from there.

The couch-to-5K aka C25K programme is designed specifically for beginners so you've come to the right place. For motivation, we post in the Daily Check-in thread with updates and you'll find people at all stages of the nine (or in some cases eight) weeks.
www.c25k.com is a good introductory website.0 -

I just thought of this thread in the main forum:

OP did a good job of compiling a nutshell version and then there are scattered tidbits throughout the thread as well.0
