Diastasis Recti

I was doing some an strengthening exercises and post natal yoga, but my belly was not going down. A friend started pinning stuff about diastasis recti and I am concerned I may have it. It is a condition where the abdominal muscles split down the center on the abdomen and instead of filling with muscles, it fills with connective tissue. Does anyone know more about this? Is the only way to know for sure an ultrasound?

You'll want to look it up, but I don't think you need an ultrasound. If you lie down on your back you can feel with your fingers whether there is a separation, and how much of a separation, and then a doctor should be able to confirm it for you.0

If you just had a baby in the last few months then I would give it more time.0
