Shopping at Fred Meyer – a Little Scared

So, I’m new to clean eating and plan on spending some time in the healthier section of Fred Meyer this weekend. FM is the best that we have in our area (no Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s). Does anyone have advice on must haves, what to avoid, and what are just gimmicky, over-priced, and/or high calorie products?

My plan is to start in the organic fruits and vegetables and probably grab some beans to cook at home. I need good proteins as I work out a lot and am also trying to lose weight. I don’t need fancy products. I am fine with a simple and easy to prepare dinner of 4 oz protein, a small starchy carb, and large portion of 1 or 2 vegetables/fruits.

And, I am trying to stick with products with seven (pronounceable) ingredients or less, unless it is just packed with healthy ingredients (ex ezekial bread).

If possible (and it might not be), frozen or packaged product ideas are welcome, too.

I'm not vegan/vegetarian and I don't care about sodium intake.

Thanks!
