*** Today's Tip: MIXING ALCOHOL WITH EXERCISE
Do you enjoy cooling down with a cold beer after a hard workout or
long run? This is probably not the best choice for rehydrating and
cooling down. Alcohol actually dilates the skin's blood vessels, which
promotes heat loss. It also is a diuretic, which means that it can
speed up dehydration; and it can interfere with refueling, which
delays recovery. Water is generally your best choice for rehydrating
after exercise.
