Hi, I have not finished the program...3 weeks to go but I registered to a local 5K that the school in front of my house is organizing. I am very scared to not be able to finish it.....and that I will arrive last.... :(:(
I jog slowly but Steady....I can do it for 25 minutes now...

Will see!

Congrats on registering, I have yet to do that! As for finishing last, I'd try to think of it from a different perspective; you are in a race and no matter how you place, you are racing against yourself only. Last year you didn't even register, but now you will have a race under your belt. How great is that! Next time you can run faster, too.

Better sooner than later. If you can run 25 mins non stop you can technically run a 5k. Btw, who says you can't take walking breaks? I'm signed up for a 20k on Sunday and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to take a walking break around mile3 to be able to finish the race. I'm just going to go our there and give it my best shot and train better for my next 10k.

I did my first 5K last year before getting very far in C25K. Walked most, jogged a little. I did another in May this year (2 weeks ago) and did it better, but still didn't jog the whole thing. I have another in a week and a half, and I intend to jog it all, damnit! ;)

If I don't, I don't, and that's okay. I'm there and I'm doing it and I'm trying my best. 5Ks are usually more "fun runs" and for-a-cause races anyhow, so I figure the more of those I do the better I'll get at readying myself for something competitive.

    Keep it up!
