Long Term Post Op (11 years) Gained 50 Need Support

I think my subject says it all. I had the DS in August 2002, suddenly I gained weight in the past 18 months, first time since surgery. Anyone else also more than 10 years out looking to lose about 50 or more pounds?

Sorry about the regain, and I'm not nearly as far out as you. But I've seen others in your position. The ones that are successful go back to basics. Protein first, low carb, and weigh and measure all their food.

Low carb is especially important for DSers. Good luck.

I'm almost 3 years out and haven't hit goal yet. My weight loss has really slowed and I stall a lot. Other than a couple of pounds up just to relose it plus a few more, I haven't been in your position, but I am willing to be a supportive as I can for you! My advise would be doing the logical thing. Go back to basics. Weigh and measure all your food, figure out where you are calorie wise per day right now (where you were gaining) and set a goal lower than that. Keep going down until you start losing again. Make sure you have very low carbs and very high protein and if you stopped exercising, get back to that too. Oh and don't forget the water.

Good luck! I have every confidence you can do this, after all, you did it the first time!
