Advice Wanted

Hey ladies,
After over a week of being sick I finally got back on track today! Feels great. But I have some questions about calorie intake. My goal calorie intake is at 1730 according to MyFitnessPal. Today I have had 960 but after my working out it says I still have 2,224 left for the day. I am really not hungry so I am not going to eat anymore today. But in the future is this hurting my chances of weight loss? I eat when I am hungry. I have stopped eating just to eat.
