Home Alone

Hey Everyone,

I am new to the group. I have never really admitted to anyone that I have a problem with binge eating. But I do. I have been doing great since January and feeling pretty good, I am finally almost out of the 200's (a number I have not seen in YEARS!), and the last few days I have shoot my self in the foot. I have not been logging and eating straight up crap.

To make matters worse my husband is out of town for the week for work so it is just me and my little guy (10 months). This would not been a big deal if I did not binge when I am alone. I don't do it when other people are around, it's totally a shame thing for me.

Does anyone have some tips for staying strong while home alone?

I write notes to myself with inspirations. I remind myself of the bigger goals as best as I can. Because I know how I would respond to certain things, I know how to word my notes to make them stick. I put them on my phone, on the fridge, in the cabinets. Remind yourself of all the good, not the negatives that would make you deviate. Keep it light and positive and make sure you reward your good choices with nice things like giving yourself a manicure, going out for a nice walk in the park, or a walk around a shopping center where you get to get out of the house, people watch, and maybe find something nice for yourself!
