RNY: Pouch Cramping?

my name's Paula and I had RNY on May 20th, 2014. since then I'm down 17lbs with about 150lbs more to go. just recently i've started having issues with my pouch cramping when I drink anything. whether it's cold or hot, water or crystal light my pouch cramps up so badly. it's incredibly uncomfortable. is this normal? has anyone had the same problem? any suggestions on how to avoid this type of discomfort? thanks.

Are you taking sips of the liquid? Right now, your pouch is about the size of your thumb from the tip to the first joint. It's incredibly small right now! You need to slowly sip at liquids and not gulp or take large swallows. Sipping is the most important thing right now. You should always have a bottle of water with you, and sip at it constantly.

If remembering is an issue, I know people that would set a time or stopwatch and take a sip every five minutes or something similar.

It could possibly be an ulcer or stricter, both are common with the surgery. If it continues, I would contact my doctor, for their advice.
