How long before you began to lose weight?

I am a newbie. I have been on a raw food low fat diet for 12 or 15 days now, stopped counting and I lost 1.2 kgs (3 pounds) the first 2 days and then didnt lose anything else until day 10, someone advised me to increase my calorie intake so my body would break its plateau which I did and now I gained what I lost! and I gained it in 2 days.
I eat mostly bananas and dates, and then romaine lettuce and tomatoes or carrots towards the end of the day.
So plz tell me about your journey with 80 10 10.

Was it you who mentioned that you were eating around 1,000 calories?
What was your previous lifestyle like before this? calorie amounts, diets, exercise?
Depending on what you have done previously it can effect weight gain/weight loss.
Water weight is another thing to consider. Over 70% of the population is chronically dehydrated. This lifestyle is big on getting hydration back to a healthy range so for a body that is chronically dehydrated(and most of us don't even know we are because it goes beyond just feeling thirsty) will start to hold onto water temporarily until it starts to become more hydrated. Try to aim for a mimimum of 2.5 liters of water. You can include that in your smoothies as well but many of us feel better when it's drank on it's own.
It is normal for the body to flucutate between 5lbs. 3lbs up or down is completely normal. But if you have been restricting calories this is very common to see. Like I explained with the water for those that are eating too little when they start to increase their calories they will see the body start to hold onto it until it starts to become nourished. There are a lot of people who have seen this happen and it's only temporary.
Since you are new at this lifestyle it's very helpful to have someone keep an eye on your food diary. There are a lot of simple mistakes one can make unknowingly that can have a big effect. I can send you a good format if you want to message me it. It's best to have at least a weeks worth.
For me personally I started to loose weight right away without exercise. I started with my calories at around 2,500 but now I found I feel my best and get better results at a higher calorie amount.0 -
Hey, I'm new to this group! How do you set up the calorie count to lose weight even though 801010 does not restrict calories? (I hope I phrased that right lol)0
