Bloating

Hi,

I've just finished week one of my low carb journey. I've been very good and not cheated but have had terrible bloating in my stomach. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced it?

    If things are *ahem* working normally, then there could be a few other causes. Food sensitivities, those God awful Atkin's bars or low carb foods that have malitol, or even bars that are low net carb but have upwards of 20 g fiber. Not being able to see a diary I can only postulate, but those are things that have caused a distended stomach for me.

    If you are eating a lot of veggies (not a bad thing) when aren't used to it, that could also cause gas. Fake foods Atkins bars, sugar substitutes, fake fiber) also cause gas problems. Stick to real food (paleo or primal) and you will feel better.
