Has Any One Tried Zig Zag Dieting

I read somewhere that if you stagger your calorie intake - ie a few days on 900 calories, followed by a couple of days on 1500, and then back to 1200 for a few days - this can fool your body into not thinking its being deprived of food, thereby avoiding the dreaded 'plateau stage'. I'm wondering if anyone out there has any further info on this.

    I actually do that but didn't know it really had a name. It works really well for me. I also alternate my exercises as much as possible so that changes too. I have lost every week in five weeks!

    Wow, that's an impressive weight loss. I think I'll give it a go next week,. One of the plus points is that I can then adjust my calorie intake if I know I'm going out to dinner, without feeling I've blown all the hard work.
