Inversions and the Heart - what principle?

Can anyone help here? I was looking on the internet for stuff around the effects that inverted postures have on the heart and came across a page that mentioned the <Doctor's Name> Principle (or Effect).
This is basically the principle in place when the heart is lower than the head and its effect on blood flow against gravity on the heart and one-way valves.
Can anyone give me the doctor's name or the name of the principle? Went back to find the page again and I cannot find it through Google! It's like I imagined it all.
