How do I calculate...

calories burned during strength training??? I am currently doing Chalene Extreme. I am in the Burn Phase, do I have to enter every exercise separately? No time for that! I just wondered if there was a rule of thumb. I see everyone posting their calories burned for their specific workout, even ones that aren't in the database. I have a HRT monitor and a Fitbit, but I am guessing those are pretty much useless when it comes to lifting. Thanks in advance for your help.

You are correct, Fitbit would be woefully underestimated, HRM would be inflated.

It's in the exercise database as Strength Training. Don't count any warmup/cooldown time walking or stretching.
It may seem low compared to equal time cardio, but that's exactly correct.
That would be the heavy for you with reps up to 15, 1-3 min rest time before next set.

If they have you doing cardio during what would be rest between sets or rests less than 60 sec, then you automatically can't go as heavy, so that would be Circuit training - more burn because more cardio less strength.

If you log it on Fitbit because you are still syncing with MFP, they call it Weight Lifting - powerlifting for the same description.

Ok, it comes up but there is nowhere to add it to my Exercise Diary. It is like the "Add" button is missing on the web page. Any ideas about that?

On the Fitbit side it would be under Log Activities on Activities tab, Log is button.

On the MFP side it would be under Exercise Diary, Add Exercise, then search for it, add start time and total time, then click Add exercise.

If that is missing, it must have thought you got logged out, and you get no add button because there would be no account to add it to. You are merely getting the visitor view you might say.

    Strange.
