Fixing fingernail tear in wetsuit

I have a borrowed Xterra wetsuit. In 4 years of owning my own I managed not to damage my own, yet the second time in a borrowed one, I managed to put a fingernail nick in it. I have spoken with the owner, offered to replace the suit, pay to send it away to fix, let her fix it herself or fix it myself. She is happy with the fix it myself option.
I've been checking a few websites and a lot suggest wetsuit cement specifically. Blueseventy says any rubber cement will do. I do not have a store that would sell wetsuit specific products. Ordering online is an option, obviously, but I borrowed the suit to wear this weekend.
I don't want to screw it up. Suggestions?
ETA- the hole is not all the way through the suit.
