double stroller issues

I have 2 kids with another on the way. My oldest is 7 who's as big as a 6 year old (JUST got switched to 6t clothes) and a normal happy little boy. My second is a 4 year old who's as big as a 5 year old and almost outgrowing his 5t clothes. This one is my "problem" child. He has a ton of delays and will run when you take him out and ADHD and just has all sorts of mental "issues" that we haven't been able to diagnose so haven't been able to treat. Normally I would put him in a stroller and have my 7 year old walk along holding my hand. Here's where the problem is. When I have this baby I won't be able to go out and put him in a stroller and take another stroller for the baby since it'll more than likely be just me going with the 3 kids since my DH works 6 days a week. I can't get a double stroller because I've read that they're only supposed to have a weight limit of up to 50 lbs per seat and my lovely little man weighs 50+ pounds I believe that's what the scale said. Regardless, if he's not there yet, give it a couple months and he will be. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should do or could do when taking all 3 of them out because I really don't want to be stuck in the house all day every day.

Could you get a sling for the baby? That way you can keep your son in the stroller.

Does he go to school or childcare? If so, then baby can go in the pram when he's not with you.

I had a tandem pram when my 2nd was born, but my eldest was only 22 months then and about 29lbs, and stopped using it altogether at 30 months. I've just had my third, and now my other 2 and 3 and 5 and luckily walk everywhere so I've not needed a double this time.

What about a sit & stand? With any luck there is an attachment you can buy as an add-on for the stroller you already own? My girlfriend has a double sit & stand. And I'm fairly certain the "stand" portion of it has a little bench her son can kinda sit on. He's not strapped in or anything, but he can at least lean a bit when he's exhausted from our long walks.

http://www.mothercare.com/Lascal-Buggy-Board/280343,default,pd.html. Like this? Might be hard to push a stroller with a heavy and tall child on it though?

Unfortunately sit and stand strollers have a max weight on the stand part of 40 pounds. That was my first choice before I realized how incredibly large he was. The Lascal buggy board only goes up to 44 pounds. That was a great thought though! I've never heard of that one.

I have a bob revolution double and I've put 4 kids in that puppy and gone on 4 mile walks. Ages of the children ranged from 6-2. But I was still well over the limit and it pushed like a champ! I regularly put my 3 in it last summer and went on 8 mile walks, they were 18 months, 3 yrs and 4 yrs at the time. My 5 yr old now rides her scooter. Once my 4th is born I'll put my 4 yr old in the foot rest of my 2 year old and put the car seat in the other seat, or I'll wear the baby and let the 2 ride in the seats and my 5 year old can ride her scooter. Either way, bobs are amazing! Plus, it fits in regular door ways, which means you can take it around the mall and maneuver around!

Joovy Varylight (sit and stand stroller) goes up to 55lbs for the back seat. It's not a cheap stroller, though.

I'd probably sling the baby and use a regular stroller.

There's also the wagon option, depending on where/how you're going to be toting the kids.

Also, Red Light/Green Light worked with keeping my autistic/ADHD son from just completely bolting in public. keep in mind that you are barking "red light!" "green light!" every five seconds and you become a public spectacle. (Awesome!)

However, I think you might have to just buy whatever double stroller you can afford and go over the max capacity. As long as it doesn't make the stroller off balance, I don't think it's a safety issue.

I'm in England so not sure if they sell them where you are.
