It really depends on what issues you're trying to correct.

    General drills:
Paddle Sets and Fist Sets focus on early vertical forearm
    Pull sets
    kick sets
    catchup drill
    figertip drag
    singe arm freestyle

    Body position drills:
    swim with ankles banded

i did this workout the other day and loved it! i am not a strong swimmer, and i am constantly learning new little tweaks that make me realize i have so much more to learn! for example, i didn't realize you could straighten your arm AFTER you put it in the water until i did this workout.. i always thought the extension part had to happen before the arm hit the water. silly me!

there are a million workouts on this page. keeps it interesting!

i like all of the ones already mentioned, but we did a new one this morning: bellybutton drill. You have to over-rotate your pelvis during your stroke to point your belly button to the wall. It's great for developing the razor's edge part of your stroke/body alignment. Streamline=speed & efficiency.

Are you guys using a coach? I think I am needing to get one, cause I am "sinking" in the pool! I thought the swimming would be coming together by now, but I am still struggle with it!

This is the one sport I could easily use a local coach in (my coach is in CT and I'm in TX). Swimming is so form driven that having hands on attention is well worth the price.

I don't use a coach, but I do swim Master's Swimming. Have since 2004. The team coaches will help with your form, and you can meet other athletes. Most will be triathletes. Here's a link to some teams near you, hit the CLUBS tab.
