Importance of Proper Nutrition; You Can't Outrun the Fork!

I first need to give mmaterise credit the for the subject title. I've been meaning to post this for the last couple days and have just not been able to get around to it. In the first couple weeks of the I've seen some people embrace all four pillars of the program (Activity, Nutrition, Data, and Community), while seeing others only adopt one or two. I've noticed that there is a dividing line between the individual who has increased their activity but left their eating habits untouched and the individual who has embraced cleaner eating habits but not gotten around to the increased activity. I'm going to remove any doubt about who will see better results and tell you the person makes the adjustment in their nutrition focused on clean eating, but remains inactive will always win out. And hence the phrase you can't outrun the fork, because the relationship between your nutrition and your activity is not a 1:1 relationship. It's more like a 1:4 relationship and that is an important reality to remember. Going for those seconds, caving on a craving for something sweet, and enjoying a few too many drinks on a night out with friends can't be erased with an extra 20 minutes on the treadmill. Below are a few links of facts for you to chew on (see what I did there ?) when you've got a decision to make about you eating habits.
