Unique problem - rugburn from sumo DL. Creative solutions?

Here's one I haven't seen before. My supinated hand is rubbing on my pants/shorts during sumo DL and has developed into a rugburn. A really bad one:
I tried a bandaid over it. Then three. Then three bandaids and wrapping medical tape around my hand multiple times. Does not help. May have even made it worse.
Any creative solutions that won't impair grip? All I can think of is cutting down a glove so that it just barely covers that spot.
I don't even know why I'm posting this here. Partly for the amusement of this group's membership I think. But seriously, it fu[/b]cking hurts.

The real reason why people say deadlifting is bad for you!
Sorry Dope, never encountered this before, a couple of thoughts though:
Does this happen on all types of material? Perhaps a softer pear of trackpants might help?
Deadlift nekkid? (not recommended, especially in commercial gyms)
Lotion on the back of your hands? (can be combined with the nekkid DL suggestion  )0 -

I've tried compression shorts, normal basketball shorts, and track pants tonight.
Hmmm lube isn't a bad idea. I hadn't thought of that. Maybe even baby powder. Baby powder on the shorts and lube on the hand (or just more baby powder). This is getting dirty but I like it. Might be worth a shot. I think the bandaids were making it worse because they were catching my pants even worse and digging themselves into my wound.0 -
Rugburn and lube?

There's a reason power lifters who pull sumo hike their singlet way up their legs... Obvious solution is short shorts.0

Wait, this is a thing?
Story time:
When I was about 13-4ish I stupidly tried to clean a pencil rubber/eraser by rubbing it on the back of my hand. The burn/scar was there until only a few years ago (I'm 22 now).
Moral of le story?
Might want to change your pants or shorts, or alternativelylilly change your grip position?0 -

So booty shorts in conjunction with lube and baby powder? Will need to see pictures for science.0 -

I lift in my basement. So I'll wear my tighty whities and lube up. Stay tuned for pics and video (for a nominal fee).0 -

I disagree. The obvious solution is to do them naked.0 -
LOL at this thread.
This is a problem I have yet to encounter pulling sumo. I'd say BodyGlide though - it's fabulous when I run, so I'd think it would help here too. You do have to really rub it on there though...it's not like a lotion, more like a deodorant.0 -

Imma charge $4.99 a video for this, do you think that is too optimistic?0 -

Is this one of those $4.99 for the first minute and then $3.99 for each additional minute deals?0 -

This thread was weird enough before your post.0 -

Could be, but only if I've shaved first.0 -

Added benefit: Shaving would reduce friction burns.0 -

I know you guys have been on the edge of your seat, waiting for an update, so here it is.
So after reading all the suggestions I got (here and in private) I decide to try some bodyglide. It seemed to work pretty well. There was some irritation but I did not tear off the scab or anything at least. I did have to reapply it after every set, which is fairly annoying. The sweat + pressure + rubbing caused it to come off pretty fast.
Will try baby powder next time to get the skin really dry and smooth/slippery, that might last better than the gel-like substance that bodyglide is. I can put baby powder on my pants too.0
