Hi
My name is Teresa and I joined MFP four days ago because I went to the gynecologist to discuss having an ablation. While there I had to face the fact that I had gained 20 lbs since February of this year. I also found out I have 3 fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. All of which is supposedly nothing to worry about, but does explain my heavy periods laden with blood clots. Good times!!
I don't really want an ablation and the doctor said that since I'm 48 I will most likely go into menopause in the next 3 or 4 years. So, maybe I suck it up and deal. I need a group, maybe some friends, for guidance, support, and to help me keep my sanity as I go through the great unknown!
Thanks for reading and I really look forward to getting to know you all. :flowerforyou:

Hello Teresa,
I have also have fibroids that cause heavy bleeding and clotting. Oh the joys of being a woman!
Keep an eye on your iron and vitamin c intake, it's hard to keep your blood count up when bleeding heavily.0
