Quick question about diet/losing weight

I'm doing the lean program and it has me at 2800 calories. Problem is I really need/want to lose my belly fat. After 3 days I'm up 2 lbs. Should I add some cardio to this program? I see people say they've lost weight but I'm not sure if they were on another program. Obviously with enough time packing on muscle you'll start to burn fat but can any recommend something to add to body beast to lose fat a little faster? Or do I just stay the course and wait for my body to start slowly changing?

Thoughts?
