Whole 30 - Day 10

One third down!! Yesterday I had a tiny slip and ate sugar in a sauce my friend prepared. But I said no to S'Mores and chocolate as well as bread! Still working outside at least an hour every other day. My yard is getting in shape and I'm pinning ideas for future projects on Pinterest. I've dreamed about chocolate, but I miss bread the most. Otherwise, I feel great. I've slept better the last two nights than I have in years and haven't been tired during the day. In true Paleo Whole 30 fashion, I haven't looked at the scale, but I feel my body tightening and becoming more flexible with a better ease of motion. And my skin is looking a lot better- no itchy scaly patches of dry skin, and some of my lines due to age are less noticeable. Skin feels tighter, more polished. I know I'm eating better because the biggest improvements have been in my stomach. I'm lactose intolerant and never seem to feel right because there's a little milk in everything. Quitting it altogether for the whole 30 is the best thing I could have done. I feel tons better.

congrats on the early success. It is amazing when you look at all the health issues including skin. For me it was joint pain that I just accepted as normal.
Welcome to your new normal.0 -
Sounds so encouraging! I'm beginning a Whole 30 tomorrow to celebrate being home from vacation and able to cook for myself once more. (I didn't gain weight, but I didn't lose any, either.) Though for the most part I stuck pretty close to the list of foods I've been eating, there were probably five to seven days out of the last month that I ate non-primal/paleo meals. Not too bad for being on the road part of the time, and staying another part of the time with relatives who don't eat the way we are used to eating.0

That's awesome that you are already seeing results already.
It is funny the things we miss. For me it is something crispy and crunchy like a cracker or cookie. Congrats on saying no to some temptations.0 -
crunch used to be my thing. Now I find bacon helps (seriously I know I always talk about bacon but there is a reason).
Also, pork rinds - nothing crunchier that a good pork rind.0
