Caloric Intake Questions for Best Progress

I love to go to the gym and run/lift etc. My issues are in the diet. I am very bad about eating enough then I feel I take in too much. I was keeping my calories at 1100 approximately (high protein, low carb, low fat). I feel when I dont eat enough I am not my best at the gym but I am really bad about adding calories because Im scared of gaining weight. I want to lose 50lbs!
