First time in the water for a while. A quick noon hour dip as the Evening Lane swim has been taken over by a Free Public swim ( Local company pays the Pool Time for the Evening ). Good for the community - bad for us lane Swimmers.

40 minutes - mixed bag of strokes and a few to many minutes of Gab/gab with a fellow swimmer. Best estimate 1000m

    4 miles tonight.
Had to dodge some frog kickers this time.
But the previous couple of night's I was sharing with front crawlers and they mostly kept up with me.

    2600m

Had to modify session as got to the pool and realised I'd left my cap and goggles at home!!! Not good when you've got very long hair.

    200 warmup

    5x 50 free kick as
    2 @ 1.10
    2 @ 1.20
    1 @ 1.30
    Increase pace as interval increases

    5x 50 br kick as
    2 @ 1.10
    2 @ 1.20
    1 @ 1.30
    Increase pace as interval increases

6x 50 back pull on 1.00 (hard as takes me 54s!)

    6x 50 back with fins on 1.00

    12x 100 on 2.00
This was meant to be freestyle but had to change due to lack of gear!

    Did two sets of
2x 100 fly kick on back
    2x 100 back kick
    2x 100 free kick
All on 2.00 and with fins

Nooner - 5 per lane so a bit of a dogfish fight for room.
Was originally going do to a bunch of drills but when its this crowded you just have to go with the flow. 1200m mixed bag of strokes.

Took a few weeks off, and back in the pool now.

3000 yard @ 60 minutes. Yes, I felt it, but I am glad to be back in the water.

@emmab0902 amazing results at your competition, so many personal bests!

Hope your China trip is going well, @fishgutzy

@juliet3455 I had never seen the forearm fulcrum, would be interesting to play with...thanks for sharing

Love coming back in here and seeing everyone, @nuffer, @rosebarnalice, @girlswithcurls2 @Bruceapple, @theowlbox and everyone keeping up their laps and workouts!

I too have shown up at the pool gearless. That is why I always have 3 swimsuits,2 caps and 2 goggles always in my bag!

    Halfway through this trip.
Took a break from swimming last night. I was still too sore from hitting the weight room on Sunday.
    Swimming after work today.
Over all the swimming lane conditions have been good. With more people doing front crawl, fewer breast strokers dare come in.

3000 yards @ 60 minutes. I had planned to not swim tomorrow and go for a long walk, but with the temp hitting into the 90's I think I will switch up my plans. The beauty of swimming. :)

    4 miles last night.
Had to deal with a woman who thought the lap lane was for walking in the water for a bit. Being the nice guy that I am I got her holding right to the wall a few times :D
Later in the the swim, had to pass frog kickers.

45 min breast, front crawl, back crawl. Won't listen my distance cuz it looks pathetic next to the rest of these. But I made progress & had fun, which is what matters!

Please don't feel like that. I might be one of the faster swimmers here, but that really means nothing. When I go to swim meets, it's not the super fast people I admire. It's the oldies and those giving it a go and enjoying it who I love watching and respect more than anything. It's about our love for the water
