Holidays such as these are a definite test to my abstinence. I'm out in the high desert camping, and grateful that I have a phone/internet signal! Today I will be liberal in my eating but avoid trigger foods so that I remain abstinent. The best part is that I'm in charge of a few meals, so no biggie. Exercise shouldn't be a problem cause I'll be hiking and planting a couple of trees. Today will be a great one!

Wishing you all a great 4th and abstinent day!

I'm new to this group, but i feel I can relate well to this group. Over eating is a big problem for me. I eat when I'm bored, sad, stressed, happy, pretty much any time! But when I start eating, I can't stop. Any advice on keeping myself from eating when I'm not hungry? Or advice on stopping myself from eating more when I'm full?

If you've identified yourself as a compulsive overeater, then attending a F2F a meeting or tuning into a phone meeting or a podcast can help. Another tip is chewing gum or brushing your teeth, that has worked for me when I feel that I'm close to binge.
