I'll Speak with Ignacio. Is it too late to take all my aids with me? I hope I win.

Unless there are choices for me to make after speaking with Ignacio Rivas, I'll head straight to New Menomonee and check in on Tiner's sister.

Of course if there's choices, I'll postpone my trip to NM.

Is there a map somewhere I can look at?

    Quest Objectives

I flex my #7 musscles in an intimidating manner, then clutch my calves as they cry out in protesting pain from the five minutes of virtual jump roping I did yesterday in my travels to the wharf so I exclaim...

    "I'm on it!"

I find the Remote Detonator first in the Leaderboard Week 4
I find the Pulse Wave Amplifier next in the Enclave Exchange
and lastly I locate the Fission Battery in the Heros Enclave

(I was wondering why those were at the top of some forums. Clever.)

I return to Ignacio Rivas with the items he requested.

(I should type in what I'm going to eat before I eat it to see how many callories it has, I would not have eaten a bakers dozen of my wife's homemade cookies today. That was 1.5 days of calories in one sitting. Ouch.)

    Leg 1 - 1 mile run/walk
    Leg 2 - 15 curl ups

Leg 5 - 3 minutes of virtual jumprope.

I have completed each leg of this journey and brought my daughter along with me. As a fencing coach, I liked traveling to Miller's Pond the best. And Miller's pond has good fishing, at least the one here in Utah. Incidentally, it was one of the stops/camping sites on our Scout Troops 50 mile hike a few summers ago, so it fits with this side quest.

    Thanks for the workout.

2 I'm in New Menomonee Falls and I'll go now to check in Tiner's sister.

Not sure I understand the legs on this one. TE -- BR -- BF -- GS -- TS, that's 4 legs... but then there are two more legs from SY -- TR -- R

Is that 7 total legs at 3 minutes each to get to the Ravine?

Yeah, 50 miles. We did 10 miles each day. Set up the 1st camp and they hiked 5 miles out and 5 back. Next day they hiked 10 to the next campsite and continued in this fashion all week. A lake at each campsite all in the mountains, so no one else was at the campsites.

We took foam swords and they would set up ambushes for each other along the way and we never heard "are we there yet?"

Hah! I wish i did more things like that when I was a kid. I'm sure I would've grown up to enjoy being in the Outdoors more....

Nah, you only had to go to to Square, not the ravine so you're good to go if you did those legs. Next phase:

You place the [Sonic Emitter] in the Town Square and detonate the mechanism, sending a large silent shockwave rippling through town. The Giant Radscorpions begin exploding in a disgusting mess, sending arachnid parts flying everywhere.

Harmon: We did it! Now the townspeople will no longer have to cower in their homes. New Menomonee is saved! We owe it all...
*Before he finishes a Giant Radscorpion the size of a Cadillac bursts from the ground underneath him*

    BOSS ENCOUNTER
    Radscorpion Queen

    40 HP, 4 DT

Equipping the Frozen Scream would be Epic, but I didn't own it when I began Tiner's Town, here's what I began the quest with.

    Odwar of Torn
    S7 P7 E8 C4 I7 A3 L4
    Weapons
Uncommon: [Laser Pistol]: +3 DMG. [Baseball Bat]: +3 DMG.

    Armor:
    Uncommon+ : [Enclave Private's Uniform]: 3 DT +1 LCK, [Pre-War Fedora]: +1 DT, +1 LCK

I would've equipped the Laser Pistol.

Does this mean the arrow destroyed my laser? How many AP's do I have, how do they work I haven't found anything describing them (I must've missed it).

I haven't done any combat like this, how does it work? What are my options and is there a guide somewhere outlining them?

Thanks. This is going to be fun. Oh, if the Queen came up underneath Harmon, what's his status or can I determine that in the middle of this encounter?

    @JEFF

You have a baseline of 20 AP used for special actions. It's best you pay attention to the combat log and only take cover when you think it will be absolutely necessary. An enemy's DT, like yours, is how much damage they can absorb before it affects their hit points. That's why weapons that ignore DT are particularly valuable if you have them.

Other than that, its pretty straightfoward :) Oh and don't worry about Harmon, he's pretty tough ^_-

Seeing the tail raise, I do a very un-dwarfish maneuver and I duck for cover (being dwarfish, I don't have to duck far.)

Can I still attack with my laser pistol if I duck for cover? If yes then I attack while/after I duck for cover.

Ha! Yeah it would be quite odd for a dwarf to roll/duck :P Yes you may take cover and attack at the same turn.

Radscorpion Queen attempts to stab Odwar with her spear but he takes cover...

[Laser Pistol] hits Radscoprion Queen for 3
[Cruel Summer] hits Radscorpion Queen for 6 DMG

    DESTROYED

    Radscorpion Queen drops
[Dante Must Die]: +4 DMG. A lavishly embellished and sinister looking 9mm handgun. Bonus damage against Ghouls.

    Harmon Brackett
< Mayor New Menomonee Falls >

"You did a damn fine job, son. Hopefully this will be the end of it and things can return to normal for us. We owe you our deepest gratitude. Feel free to kick up your heels and stay as long as you'd like"

You may now explore a safe New Menomonee at the cost of 5 AP per location. However, going from one location to the next requires a three minute jog/walk/march. You have 20 AP to spend. You may only move horizontally and vertically across the map.

Example, you can move from [Start Here] to [Scrapyard] or [Start Here] to [Brackett Residence] with a 3 min walk but you only use up AP when you decide to explore a location.

[Start Here] -- [Brackett Residence] -- [Brahmin Field] -- [General Store]

[Scrapyard] -- [Tiner Residence] -- [Ravine]
  • Odwaroftorn
    Odwaroftorn Posts: 110 Member
Is there a map I can see? How many AP do I have, I think it's 15, so I can explore three locations. Is this correct?

I will do the running Sat, so I can find out how much AP I have and decide where to explore.
  • daybehavior
    daybehavior Posts: 1,319 Member
Nah, your exploration AP separate from your battle AP. You have 20 AP to explore so that's four landmarks. Not sure what map you're referring to :( The town map is all you need for the quest. You just need to walk vertically or horizontally to get to the different locations :)

So from [Start Here] you can move to the Brackett Residence or the Scrapyard and so on provided you meet the walk/run requirement. It is only when you choose to explore a location that AP is consumed.
  • Odwaroftorn
    Odwaroftorn Posts: 110 Member
Did a 90 minute walk/run today so I will travel to and explore all four. How do I renew my battle and my explore APs?

It stated "You may only move horizontally and vertically across the map. " in the post before mine, so I thought maybe there was a map similar to Hancock 2.

Which reminds me, when Chess made One Night in Bangcock, I was living in Knoxville, TN where the band is from. Well, one of the local radio stations did a parady titled "One Night in Bedrock" and you'll meet the Flintstones...

I like the parody's on titles.

    bomftdrum Posts: 270 Member
Your battle AP will reset for each quest as well as your explore AP. Unless you find some AP or used an aid, you won't get any more AP for that quest. Unless specified in the beginning of the quest like One Night In Hancock.
