I'm not sure what Pfunds are, but according to my ticker I've lost 86 of them.

It has not been a good week for eating. A week ago I was so very focused, and then I just lost my focus. I'm up a pound today from last Monday which isn't catastrophic, but it's time to turn things around again.

    Rest day today.

    Have a great Monday everyone!

    Happy Monday!!

wow what a weekend we had. 38 hours with no power, and my lovely apple tree now lays on its side in my yard. How I loved that tree. but, I know...it is only a tree. lol There are still plenty of places around here with no power so I am not complaining. I think the worse thing is not being able to use water moreso than the power.

So my weekend was a bit off routine. lol Couldn't cook anything and nothing was open because basically no place around had power. If they did, they were so busy that you couldn't get in the door. So we had homemade subs for Saturday supper. It was my sons 19th birthday....so not such a great day for that! lol

Sunday was beautiful though, and I mustered up a 5K run. I expected to feel great having a day off of exercise but truth is I felt exhausted. I think the more you lay around (I spent a lot of the day on Saturday just laying on the couch reading/napping) the worse you feel.

Not sure what I am going to do today. I'm trying to decide between a run and a exercise video.

Laura - great run on the weekend for you, it feels good to get one of those done. And a PB! WTG :) too funny about the spam salad....LOL

Marla - sounds like some warm summer weather your way. Enjoy your swimming! I still have not been to the lake. I really need to get a swim in.

Sherry - sounds like your having a nice vacation....and I agree, most family functions do revolve around food dont' they.

Glad you survived Arthur, Maureli, and that your power is back, but sorry that it took down your apple tree. The photos I saw from my friends in Halifax and Fredericton look pretty extreme! It seems like it hit North Carolina, skipped us, and then took aim at the Maritimes. Hope everything is as back to normal as it could be now.

Sherry, sounds like your vacation is going pretty well. Glad that you can get your exercise in.

Marla and Laura, looks like you're getting in great fun, socializing, and exercise combined! It sounds like a wonderful weekend.

I had an easy and fun July 4th. I did an 8 mile run, visited with some friends at a local dog show, and then packed and headed south for the flyball tournament.

The Motel 6 I stayed at was pretty bad! There was no maid service during my entire stay, very little (working) lighting in the room, no refridgerator and one (always empty) ice machine for the whole place, horrible wifi, and on Saturday night people kept trying to get into my room and were surprised to find it locked. At least it was generally quiet and not too dirty.

The tournament went well and it's location was very nice. Colin and I took at least one long walk every day. I also got in a 4 mile run on Sunday morning.

I meant to run this morning, but didn't get up early enough, so had to just head in to work. I'll see if I get a run in tonight, despite the heat. I might just do some body weight exercises. Of course, I'll do my stair workouts during my breaks at work, too.

Hope all your Mondays go well!

Upper body at the gym today. Just need to shower now, then get the car loaded for a trip to the mtns for a picnic.

I.WILL. Get back on track with food...or I'll run my butt off. I just can't slide any more backwards.

    Heeeeellloooooo!

I'm back after a family trip to Vancouver. Seems like there was a lot going on -- storms, PB!, runs, and 4th festivities. Since I was in Canada, there were no July 4 treats (and leftovers!) to resist...though I think I could say no to spam salad pretty easily ;)

    Lessons learned on trip:
I can't bring too many protein bars
Bring sugar-free treats so I don't feel deprived (just discovered Atkins pb cups)
Buy a box of cereal & milk first thing so I have a low-cal (if high-carb) meal

We got home at 9pm last night, I sent hubs to the store for food so we can get back on track with healthy eating. Tonight's dinner is a double veggie quiche I made last week.

My goals for this week are:
Prepare healthy meals & snacks in advance so it’s EASY to make healthy choices
    Guzzle loads of water
Reach my 8k step goal EVERY day
    No fast food
    Eat 5 fruits/veggies a day

Flat tire nixed our mtn drive and picnic, and won't get another chance with good weather for a few days, which by then my MIL might be gone and I really wanted her to see our mtns. Found myself unusually disappointed by that.:frown: oh well. Food is on track so far today at least.

Nice toread you all. Sorry I don't reply much to u. Typing on this mini tablet is challenging.

    Gave good on

    Eta: ^*have a good one*
