    Fascinating.

I sometimes wonder if our eldest's developmental delays were related to the fact that I followed Pritiken's ultra-low-fat protocol while pregnant. Fat is an important part of the brain. Pritiken swore in his writings that low-fat was the absolute healthiest way to go. I thought I was doing what was best for my baby. Now I wonder...

Don't get me wrong; I was eating excellent food. High quality seafood, meat, and vegetables. Just no fat, or as little as I could get by on. I was very good at following the protocol.

Another odd thing about our eldest is that she has to eat a fairly low fat diet by necessity. It's like her body can't metabolize fat properly. I wonder if that is another result of my ultra-low-fat diet while pregnant.

Oh I know, my parent's sent me to Pritikin when I first gained weight- they didn't ask I got sent. It was crazy the lack of meat, salt, and fat in that diet.
