PERFECT thread starter today. This week has been a sugar EXTRAVAGANZA at my office! Yesterday there were THREE cakes, muffins, cupcakes (okay I brought those in since I didn't want them at home), and cookies! I said no to every single one, even though they looked good (why oh why must Costco cakes taste so good?). Oh, and the best part is that I work at a healthy company
Last night I hopped on the treadmill for 10 mins just so that I could reach my step goal. Felt good!
Goal Report: Tuesday:
Check: Prepare healthy meals & snacks in advance so it’s EASY to make healthy choices. After all the sweets that have been around, I made banana soft-serve (ingredients: frozen bananas) so that I could have a healthy treat. I buy loads of bananas and freeze for this and smoothies. After I burned out my small food processor, I broke down and bought a Yonanas machine. Love it.
Check: Guzzle loads of water
Check plus: Reach my 8k step goal EVERY day
Check: No fast food
Check plus: Eat 5 fruits/veggies a day0 -

I got in my run last night. Was going to go do a 3-4 mile run with hill repeats - I've got a good route with a nice hill about a mile into the run - but it had been raining on & off all afternoon so I went to the track instead to do speed intervals because there's a good place to take cover there from the rain. It rained a couple of times during my warm-up mile (enough that I took cover) but then I was able to get in the rest of my run. Did 5K total with 6 intervals in the middle (1 minute speed / 2 minute recovery).
My trainer is back today so I'll see him tonight for the first time in a week. So happy!0 -
Got up and out and did a 4 mile run this morning with Fells! It feels good to start the day right!

Well, my parents had a funeral to attend, so no babysitter for gym; and I spent the day with the kids at my sisters. Since I did upper and lower body already Mon and Tues, it made for a good rest day from the gym. Eating was okayish so far, but activity has been way too low today. Le sigh. DH has promised that the second part of vacay will be much better as far as eating and activity (even guaranteeing I'd drop 5lbs! He might've been hinting that we'll be too broke for food though...lol)
