^^^ feeling some girl power this morning!

Was good to get back into my normal workout routine again yesterday. It was beautiful out and Wednesday I don't see Jason until 7:00 so I came home, changed clothes, threw my gym shoes & water bottle in a bag, and walked to the gym. Had extra time so did an extra loop on the way - ended up being a 5K walk round trip. Also spent 10 minutes on the rowing machine as a warm-up. Workout was chest/shoulders/abs.

I basically maintained my weight while Jason was gone (I was down 0.2 pounds) which I'm content with. I have deliberately been in maintenance for the past few months and I'm having a bit of a hard time transitioning back to weight loss mode. I'm close enough to goal that there isn't a tremendous amount of motivation, but I would like to drop another 10 pounds or so.

Got in a 3.5 mile easy run this morning & see Jason after work tonight. It's leg day.

    Have a great Thursday everyone!

    Hello, hello!

Laura, your workouts are certainly ambitious! Your yesterday = 2.5 of my workouts :) Sounds like Jason is the king of *kitten* kickery!

Our new recipe healthy dinner last night was TERRIBLE (I couldn’t even swallow one bite) and so we ended up ordering pizza. I ate too much pizza because I was way too hungry…. Today I sent a piece for my son’s lunch and froze the other two pieces so that he can have them for lunches too…and I won’t go home and gobble the leftovers.

FINALLY, I feel like I’m not jet-lagged! I was asleep by 10 and woke up before 5 (I usually get up at 5:30). I read for an hour, finished my mediocre book, went for a nice walk outside and made my healthy lunch and snacks.

    Goal Report Wednesday:
FAIL: Prepare healthy meals & snacks in advance so it’s EASY to make healthy choices. I need to have a *BACKUP* healthy dinner (apparently) so that ordering pizza isn’t the default…I’m thinking a Trader Joe’s fast stovetop meal. Any other ideas?
    Check: Guzzle loads of water
Check: Reach my 8k step goal EVERY day
    Check: No fast food
    Check plus: Eat 5 fruits/veggies a day

Laura, it must be nice to be so close to goal. I guess at this point, it's just a lifestyle anyway. Sounds like a good day.

April-, you might consider salads as a quick backup healthy meal. You can put chicken breast or chopped turkey slices or boiled egg for some protein. You'd get bored doing it all the time, but it's a good backup plan.

Today I did upper body at the gym and the weather is so nice, I really want to run, but unfortunately I don't have the car today for driving out to my route, and this area is way too dangerous. I'll keep looking for opportunity to get a run after lunch digests, because we might not have much nice weather for the next week, so this might be my only chance.

    Have a good one evrybod

Hi all. MFP wouldn't open for me last night.

I swam yesterday after working all day, today went to Nia class and work later today.

We are looking at hot weather here, 90's now and over 100 for next week.

Funny I wanted it warm enough to ride my scooter and now its too warm!!! lol Did take it to class this morning though.

I ended up doing my 5mile route, but it was after I'd eaten a very greasy pre-dinner appetizer and so I had tummy issues. Iran the first mile or two, walked a mile or so, then ran the last two. Wish I'd planned better so I coulda got a good run, it was such a nice evening.

I tried to run 30 minutes after finishing Easter dinner. Wow was that a disaster. Nothing like having tummy issues when you're out on the road too!

Yes, I feel for you, Sherry! I have a hard time running after eating most things. I run best in the morning or in the evening if I haven't eaten. Well, except a banana on a piece of toast with a little peanut butter seems to work if I have to have something before I run. My stomach seems to have more trouble when it's warmer than it does when it's cooler, too.

Ran to the fitness studio for a really tough group workout tonight!
