Happy Monday everyone!
I've got a trainer workout tonight. Cool here today - the weather guy on one of the national morning news shows called it a "Polar Invasion." High temps will be in the 50's F (10-15C). I don't like when it's super hot, but this is a bit much! Should start warming up again on Wednesday.0 -
Happy Monday to you too Laura! And everyone
It is cooler here today too, I just finished my run and when I left it said 17*C. It actually felt really good, good temp for running. However, it looked like I was going to get rained on the whole time, but it did hold off. Looks like a few days of rain coming. Oh well, I think the ground and all my shrubs need it badly. I have been getting quite a bit of running in lately so it might be time tomorrow for a strength workout.0 -
Hi. Well, this morning it was, "okay Monday, let's go back to bed". :frown: T.o.m. Is working its black magic on me, as usual, and I skipped the gym (hopefully to makeup later today, but switching with my midweek rest day would be okay too). No polar invasion down here just yet, but intermittent rain isn't helping with running plans (but is much appreciated for our garden!)
Catch up later0 -
Happy Monday to all!
Oh, what I would give for chilly weather! Hope you all are bundled up & dry. It’s 90’s+humid = intolerable. It’s such a pleasure to feel cold
I’ve succeeded in gaining another pound, if the scale can be trusted. I did have wet hair and jewelry on so I’m not confident in that lb.
Recently I stopped eating my exercise calories and have been consistently going over my calories almost every single day. SO! I’m going to let my fitness tracker sync with MFP and give me a better idea of what I can eat.
Goals Report SUNDAY:
Check: Prepare healthy meals & snacks in advance so it’s EASY to make healthy choices.
Yesterday I made white chicken chili in the crockpot for dinner and it was TERRIBLE! I had my iPhone in hand, ready to order a pizza when I remembered about my backup meals! I had a Lean Cuisine with a lot of fruit and then too many sugar free treats. BUT! It was nothing compared to what I would have consumed if I had ordered a pizza or gone to McD (two blocks away). Even though I went over my cals, it was the lesser evil.
Check: Guzzle loads of water
FAIL: Reach my 8k step goal EVERY day. So hot. So humid. I had the energy of a slug.
Check plus: No fast food
Check plus: Eat 5 fruits/veggies a day.
NEW GOAL: Eat within cals +/- 1500 -
Hi all, just realized I didn't write yesterday...just swam after a hot day.
Today same very hot, going to a bookclub swim party this afternoon.
Feeling lazy need to do more, will at least be doing housework today.0 -
Still on vacation here, but this was my stay in place day. Yesterday I drove down to Greenville, SC. Meant to get a small run in the morning, but didn't really. On Saturday night I dyed my hair. It's a lot darker than it has been and is red. Not sure if this was a good idea, but it's done, so I'll live with it for a bit. Not sure if it's related or not, but I woke up in the middle of the night/early Sunday morning and tried to go to the bathroom and had a lot of trouble. I was dizzy and had a very difficult time staying upright and heading in the right direction. This happened to me before. I think last Fall. The doctor diagnosis was dizziness, nothing they could do, just wait until it passes. They said it would be a week and they were about right. This time was not as severe as the last. Most of my problems early Sunday morning were due to the unexpectedness of it more than the severity of it. When I woke for real on Sunday morning I was still dizzy. I tired to run, hoping the fresh air would help, but it was very hard. I got in a mile and then just walked home with Fells. Then did the drive. I was much more tired during the drive and after I got to Greenville than I should have been. Really wiped me out.
Today I had fun. I did wake up still dizzy and had a few episodes off and on during the day, but as long as I didn't turn or crouch very fast, I was okay. I had planned to do my long run this morning, but was unwilling to run by myself or with Fells in a strange place with the risk of becoming too dizzy to continue. My sister and I walked with the dogs through the city parks this morning for about 4 hours. That also included a half hour of me just sitting at the city dog park watching the dogs play.. Then we rested in the hotel room through the midday (It was 90+F out and Humid!). Then this evening we went to Paris Mountain State Park and hiked for 2+ hours, also with the dogs.
Tomorrow the dogs and I drive to Baton Rouge!0
