How do you deal with cravings?

I was getting gas today and walked in to the gas station to pay. Funny how gas stations have changed and now have become a sugar paradise and a true test of my will power to come out with out little Debbie snacks or a Sunkist soda! I used to always get 2 Sunkist sodas because hey if you buy one you can get the second one half price! Sounds like a deal to me! Now I have the double the trouble. Dont stop there, chocolate bar hmm wait I can get a KING size for just a few cents more! Gotta take advantage of that value! How quickly one can go down hill fast!
Now when I go in to a gas station if I am feeling like I need a water with some taste I will get a flavored water.(still not the best but better than soda!) and i will buy a power bar or some nuts to snack on. Funny how one little stop can turn into 1000 cals in two seconds! Maybe we can help each other come up with some great ideas or tips to help us from making poor choices. We each have our own weaknesses, little Debbie, soda, Twinkies, ect... You are not alone! Trust me. :)
So I was wondering how do YOU deal with these situations you find your self in from day to day? Does it start the domino effect on you?

For me, half of it is curbing the triggers, the other have is learning to say less is more.

I over eat or give in to cravings when overly hungry, tired, stressed, or bored. So I have snacks or meals when I'm initially hungry and trying to not wait until a specific time. I need good consistent sleep and downtime. I know this and yet it's hard. The more tired I am, the more food I put in my mouth. I also just need to stay active because then I don't have time to eat when I'm not hungry and I have other things to vent or put energy to.

If I'm really craving something. I pre-track and let myself have it. If I want it for a bad reason, I try to start some activity to distract myself for as long as I'm not actually truly craving it or hungry, sooner or later I'll forget I ever wanted.

Pre-tracking though is the best tool for me. I'll slip up on sleep, I'll get bored and want food, I'll be tired, or I'll be starving - if I track a head of time, I don't over eat as much compared to not tracking at all or going back and realizing after the fact.

It's still hard though. I fall off the wagon just as many times as I jump back in. But I do see changes in my tastes, wants, and habits - so something must be working, right? lol

I have been craving chips and sweets like crazy. Honestly I just give in, but I just try to eat a very small portion and chug water. If I give in to chips then I will try to have some protein to go with it so I get full, and not eat the whole bag.
