HiYa!

I'm a newbie :)

I am 3 weeks post-op from the band. I'm still on the mushies phase and I'm looking forward to trying new recipes and activities. I'm always looking for advice and I'm happy to have found an active board to help me out. Right now my biggest struggle is getting in my calories. I was on weight watchers for 6 yrs before surgery and it's tough to not track everything and worry about what I'm eating or not eating in my case.

Looking forward to my journey and to be able to practice yoga again (downward facing dog is currently not my friend).

Meg

Welcome aboard! My suggestion is that you spend a couple of hours reading through the past three or four pages of topics and see how many good ideas you'll find and he breadth of experience here. Then jump in and sak. share your experience and become a regular!

I'm still pre-op, expecting to get my surgery date Friday!

Hi Meg and welcome! I'm finding this is a great place to go for inspiration and support! I'm still pre-op RNY. I'm a little confused though. Are you not tracking what you eat? How do you know if you're getting in enough protein and water and such?

I am tracking here but I start to worry when I'm only at 300-400 calories for the day. Plus I'm a boring eater, I enjoy the same stuff everyday so it's pretty easy for me to calculate my protein intake.

Congratulations on having your surgery. It is a work in progress, and you will get there. Make sure you eat enough. I know it can be hard, but sometimes you have to space out your meals and eat even if you are not hungry.
