HRM, Vivofit, Calories not correct, too high and not stable

Is anyone having problems with their calorie count when using the HRM? I was doing 30 day shred, and was averaging about 300 cal burned. 200-385, and now L2 today came up 400. And then I was also walking to and from my parents house(2miles each way), going and coming, one day I had 294 going 32:00 and 573 back 43:00. Then now I got 31:00 250kcal, 34:00 725cal.
Im sure my hrm is off. What can I do? I tried to rest the vivofit hrm back to default. What else is there to do? Most people say they average between 200-250 doing 30 day shred. On digifit, 2 miles on the track was about200-300.

I have tried walking my dog the same track with and without the HRM and saw x2 discrepancy (I walk at quite a high pace).
About 4 miles in steps is reported as 230 calories, with HRM, same pace, same track was reported at 470.
Is it just because steps formula assumes leisurely walking or were the calories counted and reported twice by vivofit?0 -
Much the same here. I get between 30-80% higher readings with the HRM than the vivofit alone (on the same course). I put it down to my pace and the hills/hollows in the terrain.
They have been tinkering with the calorie reading in the Connect Activity - trying to get it to show just the activity, not the total for the day to that point.0
