Okay, so my fitbit died and after getting 5-6 fitbits that died quickly over 2 years, I finally gave up on the company. my products were warrantied so I'd get replacements for free but the last one didn't have a warranty and I said screw it. The thing is though, I get different calories on the vivofit. example: 8,000 steps…
Hey everyone! I just got my vivofit today and am completely in love (they fixed the calorie error with GC)! I'm using the 3rd generation premium heart rate monitor and it's the best one I've owned! I'm looking to find others to connect with for motivation/support. My username is the same as here "Starspecks" no quotes.
For reasons only they might be able to explain, effective today, Garmin has started calculating BMR at approximately 90% of Mifflin - St Jeor as opposed to 110% in the recent past. For example, my weight was stable between Thursday and Friday but my Garmin BMR estimate dropped from 1,771 to 1,433.
I see you guys posting how your BMR doesn't match your MFP BMR....Where do you find your BMR for the Vivofit on the Garmin Connect website? NVM I found it....In the Reports Section, under Total calories report, if you roll over the blue bar it shows you the BMR for the day.
I am currently a Fitbit HR user and have been one for over a year. I thoroughly enjoy having it and how it has helped me become a more health conscious person. One issue I have had with the tracker is that it breaks - it either has become extremely inaccurate or the band starts breaking apart. Fitbit has been good about…
Hi, I have the vivofit and wanted to ask about the device staying water proof after battery change. I wear mine pretty much all the time and swim at least once or twice a week. I just changed the battery last night (man those screws were hard to get out) and took it off even to shower this morning as I was afraid it wasn't…
Does anyone find that the calorie count in Garmin Connect works with MFP? I track mine almost entirely on MFP using the GC calorie adjustment, but it would be nice if the two synced in some way. So far, it's been so radically off in GC that I completely ignore the page.
At the end of the day, after syncing my Vivofit 2 with my MFP, the Vivofit 2 says I have 213 calories left. MFP says I have 10! A very big difference! Can someone explain this? Which is more accurate? Do I split the difference?
Hello so I'm new to using the vivofit with HRM. I just received it for Christmas so I'm still trying to figure it out. I just for the first time today used the HRM while working out. I took it off after I was finished and then synced it to garmin connect and MFP. I was working out over the course of about 2 hours but not…
Does anybody's smart notifications work with their Garmin vivofit?
