Good morning everyone. Sorry I have not been posting. I have not really had the best week. I have been doing so good since May. Lost about 12 or so lbs. This is the first week that I have really been struggling. I had just been sailing along and not really feeling tempted and my evenings weren't a problem. This week has been tough, and I am hoping that it is just because its my TOM. Hoping that I got through the worst and am hoping for a better day today. I plan to drink a LOT of water and get in my strength exercises which I have not been doing.
Just got back from 6Km run, very foggy and damp out there this morning. Last week i was quite happy to have run a total of 40Km, thats the highest distance I've run in a week in quite awhile.
Hope everyone is doing ok, I am quite behind on reading up on everything.0 -
Great pic, Donna!
Maureli, you have done GREAT since July! Great job getting in your mileage, er, kilometers. Water helps, as do planned treats (for me, anyway). Keep it going!

So yesterday, for the first time in ages, I ate within my calories and even had 21 leftover! I am really happy about that. I was more active than usual yesterday, got in nearly 12k steps (my goal is 8k) and my exercise calories kept me in the black. I FINALLY feel like I’m on the right track. This week we’ve eaten most dinners as a family, which is harder in some ways (wrangling toddler) but nice in others (family together). Family dinner also means I eat at 6:30 instead of after the tot goes to bed at 7:30 or 8, by when I am ravenous.
Thurs Goals report:
1) Eat within cals +/- 150. CHECK! I had 21 calories to spare! This is unprecedented!
2) Have a cooked veggie PLUS salad and/or soup with dinner. CHECK! Last night we had leftover grilled chicken and asparagus and roasted cauliflower (hubs doesn’t eat leftover asparagus) and I had a salad too.
3) Appetizers! As soon as I walk in the door from work (Danger Will Robinson! Danger!), put out plate of veggies and hummus. N/A. When I walked in the door with kiddo, hubs had dinner ready, table was set—no time for appetizers! (This rarely happens).
4) Log in dinner FIRST so I can work backwards from there. CHECK! I actually logged in more than I ended up eating so I was able to adjust and have some treats after dinner.0 -
Love the photo Donna! Looks like a good sized crowd at the event too!
Congrats on your day yesterday April! Your new goals are really working out well, and it seems like you've found some really good strategies on making that work.
I'm now on a running & a walking rest period. I can walk around normally but no extra/exercise walking. Jason doesn't like that it's taking my foot so long to stop hurting. I got up early this morning to swim laps at the local middle school pool - swam for 30 minutes and that was enough! I've got a session after work with Jason and it will be upper body since we did legs last night. It's going to be challenging coming up with workouts over the weekend that don't involve walking or running. Hello elliptical, spin bike and rowing machine.
Sorry to hear you're having a rough week Maureen! I hope it is just TOM and that you can go back to things being relatively easy soon. I love those times when it all feels fairly easy. Trying to get back there again.
Safe travels Sherry! Your schedule sounds nutty.0 -
I've been doing good so far. Hoping to continue today with some cardio tonight while I watch Star Trek. I notice results better when I bike for two episodes, or more like eighty minutes. But that won't be until after I watch Big Brother. Then, I'll turn the tv on again to just whatever is on, usually the news by that time so I can have something to watch while I do an abs workout with an awesome app that I have. The distractions with the tv always help me get through workouts since I'm such a lazy person. Sometimes I feel like I'm on this app more than I actually work out haha that's probably true but I always try to get my workouts in before bed. It usually goes better when I'm tired anyway, I don't seem to notice the suffering so much.0

Played some basketball and some badminton today between rain storms, but the main event was packing. Driving tomorrow and will have to repack everything in the following two days, at my MILs house.
(Jess, cycling to Star Trek sounds great, I like my cardio outdoors, but that's an indoor cardio workout I could maybe get into!)0
