I'm a teacher so I'll be going back to work next week for Professional Development. I've lost 22 pounds this summer. Of course I'm still 327 lbs. I feel like someone might, but I might be disappointed if no one does. I've resolved not to tell anyone until THEY notice.

Just so you know most people will not remark on someones weight loss because they may consider it rude, unless they are a close friend. Just human nature for many people. 22 Pounds is enough weight lost that there will be a difference but remember that if you want to lose more you need to do this for yourself and not anyone else. The compliments will come in time, everyone likes being complimented and it helps motivate you, but don't get discouraged if no one says anything because they will notice.

I agree, if they even notice they probably will not say anything. They may notice your increased confidence though!

Twenty pounds is definitely noticeable. Of course, it's much more noticeable on someone smaller. I'm sure you have noticed, with looser close and more energy. Let's face it, looking better is awesome but the main focus is to be healthy. You are doing so great....so, be super proud of yourself. Acknowledge your accomplishments yourself.

Don't interpret silence and not noticing. Also, don't interpret weight loss that isn't noticed as not mattering! It is nice when people notice, but you can't hang everything on that.

If you're wearing smaller clothes, people will notice. Although, it might be awkward for people to say something, like others have mentioned.

Someone noticed yesterday. :) I'm very close with several of my coworkers and we talk about health and food frequently. I know my MFP friends saw, but my friend I hadn't seen in person this summer said I was looking thinner and asked how much I'd lost. :) I know its taboo to ask if you don't know someone well, but I knew one of my close coworkers would notice.

Keep up the great work!!! Soon, many more people will ask what you're doing differently!

I wish people would notice and ask. Before, I didn't want them to even glance in my direction, now it's like, so much of my life/time is dedicated to this that it's like, come on, someone, anyone, NOTICE!
