    Maybe we could try a distance or steps based challenge. Not sure how this would work for people who do gym workouts or weight training though. Total exercise minutes logged perhaps?

    Lets do exercise minutes. It suits everyone. :) Though I guess we can add more factors for our own self if needed

    Im in for exercise minutes.. My present goal is achieve 360 minutes of exercise per week.. Some accountability here will be great!

    Exercise minutes sounds good. I'll be aiming for 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week at a minimum, so my goal for August will be to log at least 780 minutes. Continuing my program from July, another goal is to finish C25K this month. Here's to hoping I can run 30 minutes straight by the end of August!

    Good luck everyone! I'll be the annoying MFP friend, and keep pinging everyone for their progress. Please do the same for me. Let's keep each other honest. :)

    so my target is 40 minutes 5 days a week and 20 minutes of a stretch/yoga workout on day 6; and day 7 as a rest day; so that works out to 980 minutes.

    C25K w5d2 down. I ran on a trail for the first time ever. It was so much better than running on the road. The big run is next, w3d3, the 20 minutes run!

    How is everybody else doing?

    wow @ Fitmiks! that super great! im still building up my courage to try the c25k in my next routine! i keep giving myself the "its monsoon season ; it might rain while im out in the morning" excuse!

    im done with 80 minutes into Aug

    I'm 80 minutes into this month. 700 more to go. Need to up my pace. On the other hand I completed my c25k w5d3! Ran 20 minutes without stopping. :)

    wow@ fitmiks! thats superb! do you run full speed or is it like a jog? I am building up my courage to start C25K as my next routine.

    I've logged 260 minutes into the month; and 40 minutes off schedule! so I too need to buck up and clock an extra workout one of these days.

    Another 40 minutes down today. 120 for the month.

    @Jasneet: I run at a snail's pace. Very very slow! I am trying to build up endurance before working on my pace. If I try running fast I'll crash in a minute or two. You should definitely check out the C25K group on MFP. Lots of helpful supportive people on there. I'm pretty out of shape but I've discovered that I love running. The first few weeks will be tough but if you push through you will find it getting much easier.

    Back on track! an hour long workout today brings me to 320 minutes :bigsmile:

    @fitmiks I have chosen my "muhurat" to start up on C25K.."15th August" :drinker: hehehehe

    Another 40 minutes logged. Went swimming today after a long hiatus. Total for the month stands at 160 minutes.

    @Jasneet: Great! Now you have a start date. I'm going to hold you to it! :devil:

    C25k W6D2 completed. It was a great run. 35 minutes total. Total minutes for August 195.

    hi ladies.. Thanks to the small nudge Fitmiks! I have not been able to workout as i normally do during the past few days. i blame it on the rains pouring down here in Chennai. my 360 mins a week seems too unrealistic now.
    Today did 65 min of walking . total 425 mins so far.

    Greeshu, you're still beating me hands down! :) 425 minutes is great.

    Week 6 done. Another 40 minutes today. August total stands at 270 minutes.

    Started Level 1 Of 30 DS today! hard work due to the continuous movement but doable thanks to the past workouts with Fitness Blender.
    I do like Fitness Blender more though..the vids are easier to follow; cleaner and less clutter. I do plan to go back to it after 30 DS & C25K

    the 3 day independence day weekend is almost here. Travelling to my native. Will surely try to do some 30DS while I am there.

    lol @fitmiks! yup i did go running! i just could not get online to tell you all about it! tough tough! i think i will just end up repeating week 1; before moving on to week 2. running is such a different ball game to HIIT or my workouts at home. im still undecided on my feelings for it. but I shall certainly be completing the program!

    so saturdays are my weekly rest days! and im back today with D2 of 30DS level 1. its C25k tomorrow again!

    600 of my planned 980 minutes done! yiiipppiieee

    Yesterday was a big day workout wise. Did 45 minutes of swimming and 120 minutes of slow paced walking. Did another 40 minutes of running today. August total is 515 minutes.

    @Jasneet: Good job on your first day of C25k. Don't worry about the coming weeks. Take it one run at a time. I wouldn't recommend repeating runs unless you fail to complete one. You may think you can't do it, but you can.

    Day 2 of C25K done! I think i did better; fingers crossed.

    @fitmiks ok advice taken! i shall not repeat days. at what speed do you walk between the runs? i have a good speed at the start; but 3rd/4th round onwards, i think im too slow. I did 3.43 km the first day and today it was 3.29 kms. and how do you ensure your form stays during the runtime?

    Got in some 105 mins of walking during the weekend. Not working out since yesterday due to Tom.
