What is your motivation?

Sometimes it is good to reflect on just what made each of us decide to change. Most of us can identify with these feelings, struggles, and victories. Share what your tipping point was. What made you take a serious look at what the extra weight has been doing to you and give you serious resolve? How did you feel about yourself before you started doing something about it? How do you feel about yourself now? Do you feel guilty when you go off your diet plan? What do you do to get your head back on straight and get back on track? What does it feel like to step on the scale and see it moving down instead of up? Are you sharing what you are doing with friends and family or are you quietly waiting to see if someone notices? Any non-scale victories to share?

I was at my goal weight for a few years about a decade ago, after losing 60lbs, and I remember how good I felt. Strong, healthy, so much energy. I want to get back to that.
I'm also tired of cringing when I see photos of myself, feeling like a failure every time some event comes up and I'm still not at my goal weight, and generally be dissatisfied with my size. I already battle social anxiety; being overweight doesn't help.0
