    Vacation this month, so I won't be setting my miles too high for August - Going for 100 miles !!

    Aug. 1st: 12 miles (*Spin*)
    Aug. 4th: 12 miles (*Spin*)
    Aug. 4th: 1.0 mile (*Running Drills*)
    Aug. 5th: 21 miles (*Road Cycling*)
    Aug. 6th: 1.0 mile (*Swimming - OWS*)
    Aug. 7th: 1.0 mile (*Running - Drills*)
    Aug. 12th: 6.5 miles (*Running*)
    Aug. 13th: 1.5 mile (*Running - Drills*)

    **VACATION (08/16 - 08/25)**

    MDLNH - Bummer! Sorry to hear of your injury. Good idea to let it heal properly. Take care and see you next month! :wink:

    CLEPANT - I don't think I've ever had any trouble with the tickers at LILYSLIM.COM where it seems like the Ticker Factory tickers have some sort of hiccup every couple months. The other thing I prefer about Lily Slim tickers is that it uses an account (rather than a cookie) meaning that I can update from *anywhere* that I can sign on (phone, laptop, work PC, tablet).....and I don't have to be on the one specific device that I created my ticker on like Ticker Factory. Just my two cents worth. :smile:

    Well most everyone here knows I had 3 falls during a biking event last month. Well after 6 weeks I have finally gone to the doctor because my left hip is still sore. Well one very expensive set of x-rays later I found out I have a cracked thigh bone, about 3 inches below the hip. It shows up as a shadow on the x-ray now, but it explains a lot of things. He asked when this happened, I said 6 weeks ago. I thought the doctors jaw was gonna hit the floor, he said I was tough for someone my age. I told him that it only hurts when I am not riding. I asked about riding, he says that I am healing slowly, so I can ride, but no tours til the end of the year. So....there goes my Mt Saint Helens ride next month :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: . I am supposed to not do any strenuous riding for a month or so. Oh well, I will just have to continue training for next year, but take it easy for a month or two.

    08/22 - 5.0 miles Beach Walk
    08/23 - 12.0 miles biking
    08/24 - 2.0 miles additional biking
    08/25 - 1.0 miles walking
    08/26 - 14.0 miles biking

    WOW! You are TOUGH!!! Listen to your Doctor so you CAN ride! It's better than being told NO! Stay away from ANY physical activity! Your time will come fast! Life has away of doing that!!
    MT Saint Helens? I always remember all the ashy air we got from there all those years ago!! Time does fly!! Hang in there & do what you can!!
