OK, adding another 58 miles to my total for the month. It was a really pleasant ride today. The weather was almost perfect and the wind wasn't too bad until right at the end. That makes 426 out of 400.

I added 20.4 tonight. I subbed for a spin instructor at a gym where I've never taught before. That was kind of intimidating, but it worked out well. The class was small, but everyone said it was a good workout. Man, I love the idea that I'm pushing people to work harder than they really thought they could.

    SPREADSHEET UPDATED TO HERE

    See (but not edit) the
    spreadsheet here:

Joining the YELLOW TEAM at GOAL – YEEEEHAW: PHYTOGURL, 2ESSIE, LUCKYSUSAN, FUTURE_ROCKSTAR, SUFFERLANDRIAN (you are amazing to come from such a deficit and hit goal even before the month’s end – way to go man!) :drinker: cheers to all of you goal-makers!

And for those of you who are in the green - you're almost there! Keep pushing for it.

And for those of you who will not make goal - it's OK. Do your best, keep at it. To keep going in spite of the knowledge that you're not going to hit your target is a great thing. Never give up.

Chevy_Smart – I’m glad you’ve found an exercise plan (e.g. only counting certain dedicated activity instead of all activity) that is working for you. That’s the goal, right? It might not be the way other people do it, but it’s working for you and keeping you motivated. Next month, you’ll have a better sense of where to set your goal with this new plan.

DCMAT – Way to go, hitting over 1k miles this month. I know that’s fairly common for you, but it is super impressive to me.

REIF3 – Thanks for the head's up on no ticker - added your miles in for you :)

Ran 4.2 tonight. I should make it to goal, but not til Sunday...tomorrow is technically rest day, but maybe some walking would be good.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Hit my August goal early. Should hit 300K steps later today.
I'm glad 10.2 of these miles are open water swims, along the beach below

The rest are mostly hilly hikes here. The islands in the background are Mykonos and Delos DhuCH07AIIOmZvxJCMQ_RAuCxBKX5y5HwwxAJuUHUlI=w568-h507-p-no

This challenge really helps! This week I got up at 5:50, 5:32, 5:44, 5:48, 5:45 to workout.
@Chevy_Smart - I love to exercise early in the morning too. If I wait until later, "life" often gets in the way. I think you've mentioned a "little one" in the family- sometimes early in the morning before your child wakes up is the ONLY free "me" time a parent can find

@dinos- breathtakingly lovely pictures! You are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful area of the world!

8/29 - 8.99 (biking/ and 9 minutes of elliptical- increasing my time on the elliptical slowly but surely!)
Total to date: 242.6 of 200 miles

I'm glad I went and renewed my nature cetner membership yesterday. Beautiful place for a hike with hills, fields, old growth forest and some creeks that meet up with the Little Miami river. Only walked 5 miles, but my fitbit shows I also climbed the equivalent of 42 flights of stairs. ( i believe that, the paths down to and back up from the creeks are quite steep, but well worth the effort.) Now I'm trying to come up with a plan to get over there at least once or twice a week.

    August total 132.75 miles

Congratulations to Everyone who has made Goal! :drinker:

But, and this is Really Important, even if you will not meet your goal this month, just setting the goal and working towards it is Success. :drinker: Hey, sometimes health, family, work or just plain life gets in the way of our moving. Keep on moving and keep on posting. You may not realize this, but it is inspiring to the rest of us to see you Not Give Up. :drinker: :flowerforyou:
