Hi there,
I'm 43 and just starting my weight loss goal....this time for me. Struggling with all the normal thing. I hate to exercise, really hate it, but I know I need to, so any encouragement there is a plus. I'm wanting to start cooking more meals. I've been single for a little over a year now, and never cook because I can't seem to figure out how to cook for just 1. I have a desk job, so not much exercise there, although I'm trying to squeeze in what I can.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and I'm looking forward to being part of the group :-)

Welcome. There has to be some online options for small serving number recipes. http://food.unl.edu/fnh/cooking-for-1-or-2 may have some ideas/resources? Never used it myself because I don't like to cook so usually make enough to have leftovers at least twice...0

Hi, just signed up with MYFITNESSPAL last week. Doing great logging food & exercise, Database is awesome. I find weekends the hardest. summer time - beer, bbq, get togethers.! Any suggestions to mix up exercises. My daughter's boy friend (body fit guy) says its important to mix up exercise due to muscle memory. Food is different, the food nutrients is all the same (either fuel used or stored) depending on energy output.
Busy mom of 4, so summer I have more ME time, But once school starts, then chaos starts with school, sports, social events, etc.
Goal is loose 10% body weight by October 1st.0 -
Great for you to try to get in a routine before school starts if that is the crazy time. What exercises are you doing? If you have access to a gym you can try some different classes. Or throw some yoga or pilates downloads or DVDs into the mix if you mainly exercise at home.0
