    This is perfect as I had an initial goal set for Christmas, anyhow.

    My CW is 185 and my goal weight is to be down to at least 165 if not 160. (I'll just say GW of 165 , though). If I make that, another Independence day one would sure help me hit my ultimate goal!

  • I have never done a challenge and my daughter is leaving for college and instead of gaining a million more pounds, I want to try to take care of me...instead of going crazy! So thank you for making this challenge. I just dread getting on the scale...Please let me know how to get to the spreadsheet.

    I'm SO in! I have been doing pretty well the last 41 days, but I definitely could use some more accountability to help motivate me. I had previously lost about 45 pounds in the summer/fall of 2011, but unfortunately, due to major health issues and losing my mom last Halloween, I have gained it all back. June 23rd of this year I had enough and I'm determined to lose 50lbs (at least) and KEEP IT OFF! So far, I have lost 13 since then, and I'm hoping to lose another 9 by the time school starts (I'm a teacher), and then keep going.

    SW (as of today): 182.6
    GW (by Christmas): 155

    I am well aware that is a steep goal and I may not reach it, but I plan to work my behind off to come as close to it as I can!

    Count me in! I'm not great with spread sheets, so I may be asking some of the more technically savvy for help. Is Xmas REALLY only 20 weeks away?! Yikes.

    Well of course I'm in, thanks Ms PooPoo for cranking up another challenge. I started last year at this time with a Christmas challenge and had great success. This go, I'm close to my goal but I can't seem to quite get there without the support and friendly competition of the spreadsheet feedback. Fourth challenge in a row, let's go get em!!

    I just woke up, came here, and couldn't believe the response to the challenge.

    Welcome everyone!
    It is good to see familiar faces here and lots of new ones!

    Like others, I lost a bunch on the challenges that started last year with a Christmas challenge, and have gained a few back without the consistency, support, and friendly competition of a challenge.

    I live in Australia so when I am waking up, many of you will be settling in for the evening.

    I'll work on the spreadsheet today. I have to admit while I am not excel challenged, I seem to be google spreadsheet challenged but will have the spreadsheet up soon. I will get everyone's name, starting weight, goal weight, and BMI entered.

    What you need for the spreadsheet is:
    Name (screen name or nickname is fine)
    Start weight
    goal weight
    BMI

    How it works is each week, there will be a spot to enter your weight for the week and the spreadsheet will do the calculations for you. Voila!

    Some popular threads in the past have been Weekend Warriors, Fitness challenges, NSV, Goal reached. So feel feel to start a thread or mini challenge of your own as I know people have different goals of weight loss, maintaining, fitness, etc.

    If anyone wants to co-admin, moderate, let me know.

    I accidently washed my favorite beige work pants with a red shirt and had to go shopping. While most women love to shop, not me, not even when I was thin, now ugh!!!

    After trying on a ton of pants and being forced to look at myself in a bright mirror unclothed....:sad:

    I live in the mountains in WA state, I have been surrounded by fires for last 3 weeks all smokey out so my summer hiking to keep weight down has been out...need help!

    I gained back 10 lbs this year worrying about my older daughter going thru messy divorce...my getting fat is definitely not helping her so here I am!

    My bmi is 51.5 if I calculated it right.
