Hi everyone! I've really enjoyed going through earlier posts to gain more insight on Eating more To lose Weight. Over a 2 years years, I slowly lost 30 kgs eating 1400.-1600 calories (net would be about 1100-1300 cals) daily. I struggled to lose the last 5 kgs and looking back, clearly it's because I was undereating. I decided to do a full 8-week metabolic reset and am currently on week 5. Using my stats, my TDEE is 2,160 cals daily. I am 26, female, 5 ft 3.5 and weight is 59.5 kgs. Aside from 4-5 workouts a week (each 1 hour long), my life is very sedentary. My workout schedule consists of 2 days weight training at the gym, 1 day TRX training, 1 day boxing and 1 day kettlebell training. Occasionally I'll replace the 2nd gym session with a swim.

Just to ensure I am on the right track, will someone please confirm whether my TDEE is right?

I have gained about 800g since I started which is amazing as I expected to gain more. I am pretty sure it's primarily water weight. I have been slowly eating more and as of now my calorie intake has been around 1950 calories daily. I will now shift to the full 2160. I am currently down with the flu and not exercising at all. My questions are:

-Should I wait till next week to bump up my calories?

- As my activity levels are sedentary this week (as opposed to moderately active 3-5 x a week,), should I reecalculate my TDEE and reduce my intake temporarily until next week when I start working out again? That would give me a TDEE of 1,673 daily.

Thank you SO much in advance?

If you aren't working out, than likely you would be eating actually above TDEE without adjustment.

There's no benefit to that really unless you are lifting and trying to bulk.

You have to learn to eat right for the amount of activity you do, so good job adjusting. But bump up to TDEE for exercise week when not doing it? No.

So right now sick with flu - not much activity.

Body will benefit from maintenance though, so that TDEE for current level of activity, as you would if going on vacation or injured, and eat that while healing.
