Welcome to Day 7! Today we are doing 80 squats!! Who's ready?

Did you know that squats burn more calories per rep than almost any other move?

Never skip a squat day! Keep calm and squat on :)

Lets talk carbs! How many of you know what are the best carbs to eat?

When eating, think of your food as fuel. You would not pour garbage into your cars gas tank would you? So many people, even myself included tend to have some issues with finding the right carbs!

Here are a list of carbs, and the amounts of them that equal a serving! Can you pick out the best carbs vs the mediocre carbs?

Carbs Each serving = 200 calories

Carbs 1 bagel, whole wheat
Carbs 1 cup baked beans
Carbs 1 cup beans (kidney, black)
Carbs One 2.5 oz bran muffin
Carbs 2 slices whole wheat, rye, pumpernickel
Carbs 1 cup Cereal, whole grain
Carbs 1 cup Couscous
Carbs 12 crackers
Carbs 2 English muffins, whole wheat
Carbs 1 cup Hummus
Carbs 1 cup Lentils
Carbs 1 cup Oatmeal
Carbs 3 whole wheat or oat pancakes
Carbs 1 cup whole wheat pasta or noodles
Carbs 1 whole wheat pita
Carbs 1 med. potato
Carbs 1 cup Quinoa
Carbs 1 cup Refried beans, low fat
Carbs 1 cup Wild or brown rice
Carbs 1 med. sweet potato
Carbs 3 corn tortillas
Carbs 1 lrg whole wheat tortilla
Carbs 3 whole wheat waffles
Carbs 1 cup wheat berries

    As far as carbs, I do a low carb lifestyle. I've been doing so for 3 years. Every once in a blue moon, I have a sweet treat. Have a good day everyone!!!

    :flowerforyou: I've tried most of the items on the list....I stick with whole grains, rarely any bread, pasta, flour, or desserts........the one item on the list that I haven't tried is wheat berries

    Day 7 80 Squats Done! (and some)

    Where's the fruit? That's where I get most of my carbs personally.

    But the only thing I haven't tried on that list, I had to google it as well lol, was wheat berries.

    i have never tried wheat berries (dont even know what they are!) and i would like to try couscous!!!!!

    oh....and my 80 squats.......yup, nailed it....haha

    Well my knee acting up today but still got my 80 squats done.

    Finished my 80 squats in between my lunch walk. My gluts were a little sore when I went to sit down. Ouch!

    Completed day 7, 80 squats. :-)

    I have never tried wheat berries and love couscous and brown rice :-)

    Couscous is something I'd like to try. And maybe wheat berries....I like wheatberry bread :)

    Did the 80! No problem. I have never ate quinoa. I always think I will try it but I never do.
