lol running is one of the few exercises that allows you to eat more of what you want...I don't run though so...

The scale is better today after I cut back good yesterday, and exercised.

Today is another thunder, lightning and rain day so will do treadmill before I leave at noon for next town over errands.

Hope everyone has a good day! :flowerforyou:

We have a candy machine at work with M&Ms in it. I just pretend it doesn't exist. It's safer that way.

I'm taking an unplanned rest day today because I just want to go to bed. It will be so nice to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep!

I tried the core workout from my new book this morning. I got about halfway through it when my 15 minutes were up and I had to head to work. It took me more time than it should both because I was reviewing each exercise before I did it to make sure that it was right and because Fells was taking advantage of me being on the floor to sudden lick my face, which I don't much like. I'll try again on Friday, but lock the dogs out of the room first.

Also got the stairs in. I'm not doing the stair workout that I did when I was in the other building for work. That was doing the stairs followed by some stretching and body weight exercises. I don't have the space of privacy for that in my current building. I don't even have a desk of my own. However this building is huge! Just walking from my car to the area I work in I can cover more than a 1/4 mile. It's a long walk to the cafeteria as well, although not quite as far as the parking lot. Here I just walk to the stairs, go up one set, circle the escalators, then go down the other. I do that 8 times in the morning and 8 times in the evening, then one more time just up to go home. So I cover 31 steps 17 times for 527 steps per day.

I mentioned before that my work is doing a try tri challenge, so in three months I've committed myself to running 26 miles, going up 15,000 steps, and attending 15 hours of vigorous fitness classes. The running miles were easily done before July was over, even with my vacation in there and I'm on track with the other two, but they are more difficult.

Love today motivation. Also love M&Ms, especially the dark chocolate and the chocolate & peanut butter versions! I don't ever let those in my house and luckily don't find them very often as long as I don't go through candy aisles at stores.

There's a snack machine at my office (on my floor!) and my goal is to never eat from it.

Been hungry, yet ate over cals. Got in my steps at least.

    Onward and upward!

Today is arms day! (Also, make up for not finishing abs and butt day. I could also stand to catch up on cardio. But gotta get today's workout done first, then work backward from there.) I haven't been hitting my target goals of how long to work out. I'm working out about half as much as I have allotted each day. Ugh, I really want to catch up before going back to school. So I can start fresh on Monday, with a new routine to suit the new environment.

Donna that sounds like my cats when I try to work out on the floor at home. They try to "help" as much as possible.

I went for a 2 mile run after work, then did 10 minutes on the rowing machine to warm up my upper body, then had a session with my trainer. Low back & chest today.

I was tired & miserable all day. My sinuses were awful. On the way home from work I stopped & bought different sinus pills that I hadn't tried before because my head was just so congested. I took one in the store parking lot, drove 5 minutes to the gym, went inside, changed into my running clothes, walked outside, and it had already started to kick in. About a third of the way into my trainer session he asked me if I had 3 espressos before coming in, which is something considering how much I was dragging all day. The comment had more to do with my attitude than my killer workout though. I was doing push-ups with my hands on a weight bench & one leg up in the air. First set he told me I wasn't tucking my stomach in enough. Second set he snapped at me "What did I say about your midsection?" and I looked at him and he had his hands on his hips and I just burst out laughing because the tone was so out of character for him and the exasperated hands on his hips sealed the deal. Then I had to stop and mimic him before finishing. That's when he asked about the espresso. I was worried the sinus pill was going to keep me up tonight but I can't stop yawning.
