Today I completed day 1 of C to 5k. I didn't think I would be able to do it, but I did and really liked it. I hope as the weeks progress and the running time gets longer that my body will be adjusted well and I can complete the program.

Well done! You're on your way now. Congratulations on finishing the first day.
If you have problems in future, just try slowing down to catch your breath, rest your muscles, etc. but keep running. You can do this.0 -
Thanks for the encouragement!! Did day 2 yesterday and I am looking forward to day 3. I think I like running . lol because I feel kinda excited thinking about when I get to run again!!! The first time I tried C25 K I ended up with shin splints and didn't really understand why, but this time I'm running much slower than before and I haven't had any pain. I guess I was running to fast before.0

I think most of us start out running too fast. I did. Slowing down was the best advice I got. I'm glad I listened. I still do it now when increasing my distance. It's the way to go.0
