Hey peeps, I just did zumba for the first time in who knows how long... easily 9 months, and did the cardio cd, I did 22 mins!!! My pb before was 10! Just feeling pretty good about it. I was all down because I hadnt exercised. Then I said **** it ill do zumba (we have had thunder, lighting and hail today so outside wasnt really an option) and im kinda excited that I managed 22 mins and wasnt dying, I only stopped cause my shoulder got angry at me. So yeah, happy dance! And gunna weigh in tomorrow. Still nervous but feel better after doing a work out lol! Whats everyone elses good thing for today or this week? Doesnt have to be exercise or weight related. Could be logged in every day this week, or bought a new top or went out to coffee with a cool frd. :)

OUTSTANDING! If you more than doubled your personal best, you're doing more than just losing weight. You're doing better physically! We're proud of you!

What's good for me this week (besides MFP friends making progress), is that the missing part that I ordered for my home gym shipped yesterday. It's supposed to arrive anytime between today and Saturday. YEAH! Just in time too, I was starting to get bored with the same old strength training exercises. Now I'm going to have a lot more options.

Another good thing is that I should have a pretty good number on my weekly weigh-in. I weigh every day, but I only count/log my weekly weigh-in. I won't say how many pounds I've lost this week, but let's say that I expect to exceed my 2 pound/week goal!

Cool on the Zumba…. When I started out I was doing good going for a 45min walk….dancing aka zumba was not an option ……
I have found that exercise can be fun. I just had to get over hating the sweating and the laziness…. I have also learned (in the last 6 month) that exercise can be fun…..and that every little bit makes a difference. So I have taught myself to take the stairs when possible (I have a 2 flight limit however), park a little further out at the grocery store etc…. we now “argue” over who gets to push the shopping cart back to the cart corral….lol
This week: today I rode a bike for 18.36 miles in 81 min ….and I had a hard time doing it….. No energy today…..
Tomorrow I plan on hitting the gym early and then get ready for a camping trip…..nothing big, just me and hubby in Colorado Bend State Park (about 50 miles from home). We will be tent camping down by the river for 2 nights, hike some trails in the park, do some grilling, read a good book plus hang out at the water hole. There is a creek that flows into the river. A little further upstream there are a few natural pools (the deepest one is 7ft deep) that are connected some little waterfalls. The water is crystal clear spring water and perfect for cooling off. They are bliss in the middle of a Texas summer….. The park rangers rent out kayaks and I really would like to try that, but the hubby had already a neck fusion and a shoulder surgery. So I am not sure if that is an option for us, but we will see……Most of all it will give us some time together away from town and the Army ……
  • Omg! That is so great Evie, I am so proud of you! Your doing awesome. I loved Zumba, but am not as coordinated as I thought so I was never able to do that much, so that is awesome. Something good that happened, Besides my hubby getting into the doctor and getting some help. I was able to burn some calories running after the kiddos. My thighs are burning tonight. I am also looking at trying to get a treadmill this weekend, fingers crossed I might be able to find a decent one on CL.
M: Omg!! I can not wait to see what you have been able to accomplish, I am so excited for you. You definitely have worked hard on it. And I am excited for you for the weight equipment. Keep it up, your doing awesome.
Kspenglermoor: Your trip sounds like so much fun, I hope that you have a great time with your hubby. Sounds beautiful. Great job on the bike ride, that is so awesome! Your doing great, working hard, and sticking it out, keep it up, we all believe in you!! Better yet, you believe in yourself!

Everyone else: Great job, pat yourself on the back, you have worked hard and deserve a high five (So I send you a air high five; or fist bump) Keep going, and do not give up!! You can do this! We all can, are, and will do this!

V, oh im so so glad ur hubby got to see a doc. I have all my healing vibes going towards you and him last night! (I dont pray so I send healing vibes, sounds goofy but I think it makes a difference sometimes even if people only just know someone is thinking of them)
I bet u have sore thighs! Running after kids always tires me out!

Moor, yep zumba and me wernt very good frds for a long time. I did it but hated it. I get u on the whole sweating hate thing. Ive learnt to enjoy it a bit more... can be hard work but now I realise the more im sweatjng the more im working... which I kinda like. Means im moving closer to my goal. I hope u have an awesome weekend away!
